This is a useful formula for the study of light waves in a vacuum since, knowing the velocity of light (termed "c" and is 299,790,000 meters per second) and the wavelength of the beam (termed lambda and is measured in meters), one can calculate the light beams frequency (termed "f" and measured in cycles per second). If you know any two variables you can find the other.

This form proves to be of much interest for the Life Spectrum Hypothesis since the wavelength of DNA is known to be about 0.0000000034 meters (34 angstroms) or 3.4 nanometers (3.4 x 10 ^-9 in scientific notation). The whole Life Spectrum Hypothesis supposes that DNA and light are connected and that double helical light waves act as a template for the formation of DNA. Therefore, it would be interesting to calculate this out. Here, two variables for this form are known and thus the frequency of the DNA wave can be calculated. See figure 2 below for the sample calculation and resultant frequency.

The result for this calculation (8.82 x 10¹⁶ cycles per second) turns out to be a very large number indeed - pertaining to high energy radiation. What is of particular interest, though, is that this result very closely approximates the speed of light squared (8.99 x 10¹⁶ meters squared per second squared - numerically). In fact, the difference is less than two percent. If the approximate, known wavelength of DNA is off by this 2 percent then is would have thrown off the result. In fact, for the frequency of DNA to have equaled the speed of light squared, then the wavelength of DNA would have only needed to be 3.336 x 10^-9 - extremely close to the approximately measured DNA wavelength. An error in DNA wavelength measurement techniques is possible so it would be interesting to see if the actual wavelength of DNA is 3.336 x 10^-9meters. In fact recent experimental results indicate that the wavelength of DNA is 3.33 x 10^-9 meters - a value within 0.18% of the results postulated here. See reference 5 which provides the internet address to Davidson University and the experimental results.

The the aspect of these calculations which causes the above interesting results is due to the fact that the inverse of the wavelength of the DNA molecule (ie: the number of wave cycles in one meter) very closely approximates the velocity of light! Here, it is calculated that the number of DNA wave cycles in one meter is 2.941 x 10⁸ cycles per meter. So here we have a convergent situation where "number of cycles/meter = number of meters/second." Figure 3 illustrates this.

The above is quite a coincidental situation indeed since the Life Spectrum Hypothesis is noting the simularities between DNA and light and this illustrates a further connection. However, caution must be taken since this is a special situation. The measurement is a meter, or about 3.28 feet, and this connection cannot happen in any other standard measure since the wavelength of DNA is static. For example, the number of cycles of DNA/foot does not equal the number of feet/second that light travels.

What is interesting, though, is that the meter has become the global standard for measuring distance. Originally, with other units of measure such as the imperial system with its feet and inches, it was a kings foot that was used to set the standards. So in this way humankind referenced themselves in order to discribe their physical world. Hence, it is an interesting curiousity that the current accepted standard unit of measure correlates in such an elegant way with DNA and light. It seems as though humankind has unknowingly referenced themselves again or perhaps there is a cosmic connection.

The starting point here is the statement from 2Peter 3:8 and 9 from the New Testament which states: "But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness". This is an interesting statement which, if taken literally says that a day to God is like a thousand years to man (Ie: 1 day God = 1000 years man) and notes that God is not slow. This has been a controversial statement for Christian experts since it upset the long held belief that the Earth was created in 4004 BC and was, therefore, about 6,000 years old. In more recent years, scholars have noted that God created the Earth in 6 days or 6,000 years. This plus 4004 BC til now makes the Earth about 12,000 years old - still a major thorn between Bible Scholars and Cosmologists since Cosmologists figure that the Earth is about 4.5 billion years old and the universe 12-15 billion.

Another look at this statement, in terms of what Einstein had to say about the velocity of light and with respect to the Life Spectrum Hypothesis, reveals a much more curious situation. Einstein said that as you go faster and faster, approaching the speed of light, time slows down. To clarify his premise, suppose you had two clocks synchronized together so that they ticked in perfect harmony - second by second. Now, one clock is put into a rocketship and transported so that it is travelling really fast. What Einstein showed will happen is that when the rocketship clock ticks just once, the other stationary clock will have ticked more times since the rocketship clock slows down. He, in fact, proved this theory with the following, lesser known, equation shown in figure 4.

It is interesting to play with this formula and see the effect on the rocketship clock when the velocity is 1/2 of the speed of light, for example. Here, when the rocketship clock ticks once you will find that the stationary clock will have ticked 1.15 times. Not much of a difference. However, when you get to 3/4 of the speed of light the stationary clock will have ticked 1.51 ticks for every tick of the slower rocketship clock - still not very significant. However, when the rocketship clock is going 99% of the speed of light the stationary clock ticks 7.08 times (Ie: 1 second rocketship clock = 7.08 seconds stationary clock). It is only when the rocketship clock "approaches the speed of light" or gets to 99.99999% of lightspeed that suddenly the difference in ticks of the two clocks becomes very significant. For interest, when the rocketship clock is travelling at 99.99999% of c, the stationary clock ticks 2,236.07 times for every one tick of the now much slower rocketship clock. At this point, the stationary clock has ticked away 0.62 of an hour! This theory has been proven over and over again through the years by scientists using super-accurate clocks. It is an interesting fact of the universe.

What is so stunning about Einsteins formula, though, is that it verifys what the New Testament has to say about God. The Bible says, as noted in 1John, that "God Is Light" and it also notes in 2Peter that a day to God is like a thousand years to man (Ie: 1 day of Gods clock ticking = 1000 years of mans clock ticking). Therefore, noting Einsteins findings, these Biblical statements point to the possibilility that God is travelling very fast. In fact, if you figure it out in seconds or "ticks", you will find that 1 tick of Gods clock = 365,250 ticks of mans clock. A calculation, shown in figure 5, of the speed that God must be travelling at in order to have a thousand year time difference with humans reveals the following:

Here we see that in order to solve for the velocity you have to rearrange Einsteins formula. Upon doing this and solving for the velocity renders the speed of light or at least 99.9999999999999% of c! Therefore, 2Peter is telling us that God is travelling at the speed of light! Again, verifying that God is Light as 1John states in no uncertain terms and the Life Spectrum Hypothesis supposes and so clearly connects with DNA!

To begin with this portion of this paper, several quotations from the New Testament are required which act as the foundation for analysis. The first is Matthew 17:20 which states: "Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." The second is from Matthew 18:19 which notes: "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven."

These are absolutely profound statements. A possible interpretation of this is that the first statement (MATT17:20) essentially says that humans have telekinetic capabilities so powerful that we can move mountains! This is interpreted in terms of the miracles that Jesus is said to have performed. The whole thing seems pretty absurd since no one has been able to achieve such feats. The energy involved clearly is tremendous and is only found in the atom bomb! However, with respect to the Life Spectrum Hypothesis which states that we are made from light this may not be so impossible.

Consider moving a mountain. This is a huge energy release. Then consider "faith as small as a mustard seed". Seems like only a small amount - or only a small amount of mass. Then see MATT18:19 and note "two of you". These statements make it easy to correlate this with Einsteins mass-energy equation E=mc². The substantial energy in moving a mountain is E, a small mass like a mustard seed is m and two people agreeing, being light as layed out in the Life Spectrum Hypothesis, are c². This, therefore, derives the equation. Hence, it seems as though Jesus was laying out the mass-energy equivalence law a couple of thousand years ago. The trick though is that the two people must agree and believe as Jesus went on to say in Mark 9:23: "'If you can?'" said Jesus. "Everything is possible for him who believes." Figure 6 illustrates this equation.

This points to the possiblity that humans have the potential to be capable of controlled energy releases of massive proportions using there minds and this unknown principle through faith! It is interesting to note that recent studies conducted at Berkeley, regarding people with illnesses who were Prayed for, showed faster recovery rates and 30-40% lower mortality rates. Another study at Princeton indicates that random events, such as balls falling, can be effected by thought from human subjects. Scientists are able to reproduce this although the effect on these random events is very small. Perhaps the scientists should be using two subjects who agree on the plan and believe without doubt that they can do it! In any case, Einsteins formula seems to be addressed in the New Testament and this backs up the Life Spectrum Hypothesis even more.

One last point here is from the book of Mark 5:25-30 which says: "A large crowd followed and pressed around him. And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, "If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed." Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering. At once Jesus realized that Power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, "Who touched my clothes?"" This passage exemplifies the capabilities that humans may unknowingly possess since it notes that power was released from Jesus. Power is scientifically defined as energy released over a period of time and is expressed in watts. The old woman believed, as did Jesus, and so the energy was released over a very short period of time to carry out the desired outcome. It would be interesting to have tested whether Jesus and the woman had lost any of their mass although the difference would certainly have been immeasurable! The woman did feel that she had been freed and Jesus did realize that power had gone out from him.

Natural selection is an interesting concept which has been well proven through the years and quite dramatically in more recent years with the evolution of certain antibiotic resistant bacteria. Probably the most famous case for natural selection is the moths in England prior to and following the industrial revolution. At around AD 1800 the white form of the species of moth was prevalent on white barked trees whereas the black moths, of the same species, were rare since birds and other predators would pick them off - almost driving them to extinction. After the revolution, though, the tree bark became covered in soot and so the white moths were picked off the trees because they had no camoflage. Since the black moths were now protected they were able to reproduce relatively unchecked and became the dominant type of moth. Hence, since there were no white moths to breed with, that genetic expression for white moths disappeared almost entirely. Every time white moths were able to breed they were immediately eaten so they became very rare. The gene for white could not be expressed since it wasn't available anymore.

The same type of thing has happened many times in history with a multitude of animals. A good example is an animal which eats tree leaves. If all the tree leaves get eaten up to a certain level leaving no more leaves the shorter necked animals of the species will die out leaving only the longer necked ones. Subsequently, the gene which is being expressed, giving the longer neck, becomes more common so the population of animals will end up having a higher average height. There is no magic here. It is just natural selection.

The fact is is that animals can be said to evolve or improve or de-evolve and become worse due to this process. There are certain types of animals which have evolved or de-evolved such that they do not have eyes anymore since they live in total darkness all of the time. The process can either cause the animal to improve or become worse as a whole.

The Bible does point out to humans many times things which were meant to help us so that we would be protected from natural selection since God wanted us to survive. In fact God said in Genesis 1:28 "Be fruitful and increase in number." Some examples of the guidance are shown in the book of Leviticus chapter 11. Here, types of food which are good to eat are outlined and deemed clean or unclean. This was clearly given to protect people from infection which would effect them according to natural selection. The same can be said for washing hands etceteras. Common sense things which the ignorant people did not know about but which God knew would kill them.

According to the Bible though, in light of evolutionary theory, humans have de-evolved overall. Originally, humans were made a little lower than Angels and apparently could live forever. God told Adam and Eve not to eat a certain fruit which would certainly cause death - recall the natural selection protection. Well, they did anyway and humans lost the ability to live forever. At this point it is interesting to note the bizarre ages of the people talked about. For example, Genesis 5:3 notes that Adam lived to be 930 years old. Jared lived 962 years and then Lamech 777 years. Note that each successive generation tends to live shorter lives. Some more of the characters and the ages that they lived were: Eber - 430 years, Peleg - 209 years and Nahor 119 years. Later on God decreed that mans age would be no more than 120 years. It is interesting to note that this is the accepted maximum age that people are able to live to today. The point of this, though, is that humans, according to the Bible, have apparently de-evolved!

The fossil record neither verifies this nor refutes it since it essentially shows different species of humanoids coming to earth and going. Many ancient civilizations seem to verify this though in the grand cities, massive structures and curious technologies which have been unearthed.

Another point here is the all of the geneologies pointed out in the Bible. These may be the most boring of topics for some but it points out that genes are passing along which is the basis for evolution. Certain kings "walked with God" and prospered while others fell away and had calamity fall upon them. The scenario fits with natural selection so the Bible tends to fit in with evolutionary theory in this respect except with one major difference which is that the Bible says that there is a God guiding us.

The Life Spectrum Hypothesis may connect the Bible and evolutionary theory here since it points out that it may be possible to control mutations in creatures. Namely, to modify DNA using helical light waves with encoded information such that a desired physical trait comes out which was not evident before. This process may explain the "missing links" which is evident in the fossil record. Usually, mutations are considered harmful since encoded information within the DNA becomes mixed up and causes a deformation. UV rays cause mutations in skin cells which cause cancer. All of these effects are harmful and considered de-evolutionary. Therefore, if we only see harmful natural effects from mutations then how do creatures take these leaps forward in evolution?

The Bible seems to address this situation firstly in the book of Genesis 2:20-22 where it states: "But for Adam no suitable helper was found. So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs and closed up the place with flesh. Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man." With todays capabilities of cloning it is not such a great leap of understanding to know that this is possible. The Life Spectrum Hypothesis indicates a possible alternative means of doing such a feat outside of techniques used by scientists today. Here, though, God took Adams DNA and modified it and then generated another human being - Eve (a modified clone of Adam).

Another situation from the Bible where these principles may be at work is from the New Testament Luke 1:34 where it states: ""How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?" The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God."" In this way then the Bible says that Mary was impregnated by the Holy Spirit - The Immaculate Conception. Again, therefore, we see this force outside of natural selection which is effecting humanity. In this case, though, Mary was to have a son whom was to be sinless, greater or re-evolved back to the way God had intended with Adam and Eve. Note here that God did not have to take out a rib or anything. Instead, the Holy Spirit was upon her or, in other words, a beam of light modified the DNA in one of Her eggs so that Gods Double Helical DNA Light template combined with Marys. This situation perhaps exemplifies a situation where a missing link is occurring. Clearly, though, God is the missing link in this case since it is Gods planned DNA template which combines with a humans to create a new being. The same kind of principle may well have occurred countless times in history with all other types of plants and animals where God beamed a DNA template to combine with an existing one - a dinosaur or neanderthal man included. In this case though a man was simply made perfect like humans were supposed to be in the first place. Hence, re-evolution back to where we were supposed to be had occurred.

The last portion from the New Testament to be discussed here is from Luke 9:28-29, titled "The Transfiguration" where it says: "About eight days after Jesus said this, he took Peter, John and James with him and went up onto a mountain to pray. As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning." Additionally, Matthew 17:2 states: "There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light." These are very interesting in terms of evolutionary theory and the Life Spectrum Hypothesis since it indicates that Jesus was "Transfigured" and that his face "changed". Perhaps he was showing humanity how to evolve. Also, if taken literally, it states that he emitted visible light.
